Superb first generation night vision monocular. Enables the user to view in total darkness with the use of the built-in Infra Red Illuminator. The unit is ergonomically designed and fits comfortably in the palm of the hand or can be tripod mounted for prolonged observation. The unit is rugged being fully waterproof and rubber armoured, so can be used for wildlife observation whether in the back garden or deep in the countryside in any conditions. Equally it can be used at sea and can withstand being immersed in sea water, on a flooded cockpit floor for instance. At sea the unit will be able to show the user lights that are not visible even in binoculars greatly improving safety in any weather conditions. The Infra Red Illuminator has a range of about 100m depending on the target's reflectivity. The unit has LED lights that let the user know when the infra red illuminator or the unit are powered up. The unit accepts 42mm SLR lenses and comes supplied with wrist strap and carrying case.
