The Minox Mini-telescopes (or monoculars) are by far the most versatile viewing instruments in the whole of the Minox optics range.
Favourites among theater-goers, opera-goers, sports event spectators, ramblers, hikers, and many more users besides, the 6x16, 8x16 and 6x16-A with built in altimeter and thermometer are small enought to fit in the smallest handbag, pack safely in a rucksack, slip into a shirt pocket or wear around the neck on the incorporated cord. The metal body housing gives it an elegant finish as well as affording good protection to the optics inside. The focussing is operated by the 'slider' on top of the body, a feature which enables the 'scope to be held and focussed in just one hand.

The most versatile of the trio is the 6x16 with its lower magnification it provides the user with a wider field of view, slighty brighter image and easier focussing than the higher powered magnification of the 8x16. This has been reinforced by a new lightweight version of the 'scope being produced with a polycarbonate body which reduces the weight by up to half.
The 6x16-A with altimeter is designed for use by groups such as climbers and hikers who may wish to know altitude and temperature date while still being able to scan for the route ahead. It has an automated (optional) 24hr cycle where it calculates any altitudinal change caused by air pressure change and will correct for this. This can be changed manually if desired.
